Velari Eggbutt Flex Single Jointed Medium – combines a single-jointed Flex mouthpiece with the quiet, stable positioning of eggbutt sides. The single-jointed construction provides clear and direct transmission of the rein aids, while the smooth synthetic material supports consistent contact in the horse’s mouth. The fixed sides keep the mouthpiece steadier and provide additional lateral stability.
The 18 mm mouthpiece features a firm synthetic coating with a rigid core. According to the manufacturer, the material is non-toxic, horse-safe and suitable for long-term use. Its smooth surface avoids the cold feel associated with traditional metal mouthpieces while maintaining a clearly defined action. When the reins are taken up, the single joint forms a V-shape and distributes pressure across the tongue and bars.
According to the manufacturer, this construction can particularly suit horses with a higher palate that prefer a simple and clearly defined action. The Velari Eggbutt Flex Single Jointed Medium is also suited to sensitive horses and riders looking for precise rein aids with a direct, consistent connection.
