This stainless steel bit has a blue steel finish that gives off a taste enjoyed by the horse and stimulates salivation. The curvature of the bit eliminates the pinching effect, and any direct pressure on the bar ans tongue. An oval link in a mouthpiece relieves some of the pressure on the tongue when the rein aids are applied. Because the links is rounded, this mouthpiece is considered slightly milder than a french link.
