Composition: German Silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel) a relaxed and strong alloy.
Effect: The snail bit has some similarities with the Pelham but does not apply pressure on the nape as there is no action on the cheekpieces. It is the only lever bit with no pressure on the nape. Its action is directly applied to the chin strap, thus on the jaws and not on the angle of the head-neck, which reduces the possibility of confinement.
Usage advice: It can be used directly, with rings or in a double rein setup. Its advanced tongue passage provides the horse with real comfort and ergonomics, allowing the tongue to settle more naturally.
Care advice: Rinse the bit well after each use to limit the buildup of residues and avoid discomfort for your horse.
